Dying to Self, Alive in Christ

Through the glory of God, our old self was crucified on the cross with Christ. This leaves us free to live as our new self which was created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. We're challenged in Romans to live a new life and not use grace as an excuse to continue in sin. This may cause friendships to be broken, hobbies to become less important, and worldly passions to matter less in your life. However, the sufferings we experience here, are not worth comparing to the glory that is to be revealed to us in eternity.
